The first breath burns your throat. You cough, blinking smoke from your eyes, trying to make sense of the tangled wires and sparking consoles. The ship’s interior smells of ozone and burnt plastic. “Systems fried,” you mutter. “Perfect.” Outside, an alien sun beats through fractured glass. If you want to leave this rock alive, you’ll have to rebuild your ship from whatever you can salvage. [[Look around for anything useful]] [[Step outside and begin scavenging]]You squeeze through the buckled airlock and stagger into a harsh, blue daylight. The sun is too bright, the sky swirling with purple clouds. Shards of your ship glitter in the dust, wreckage to the east and west, and the ground itself cratered from impact. “At least the air’s breathable,” you say, trying to sound brave.
